Witney Watch 2017
Healthwatch Oxfordshire is to spend a month in Witney to find out how people rate the town’s health and social care services.

During March, the Healthwatch team will be out and about in the town, gathering feedback on:
- GP surgeries
- Hospital services
- Social care.
Rosalind Pearce, Executive Director of Healthwatch Oxfordshire, said: “This is a tremendously exciting project. We have not targeted a single area in this way before, and we are confident that it will generate valuable information and insights into people’s experiences of using services.
“Hopefully we can repeat the exercise in other towns across Oxfordshire, to build up a bigger picture of how well services are working.”
The Healthwatch team will be holding events at shopping centres, surgeries, schools and other centres to find out what people think is good or bad about the health and social care services available.
It will also be an opportunity for people to find out more about Healthwatch Oxfordshire, and how they can help shape the services they use. People will be encouraged to complete a short questionnaire about their experiences and their ratings and comments will be fed back to health trusts and the Oxfordshire County Council.

People completing the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a three-month membership to the Windrush Leisure Centre, Witney, which has been generously donated by the centre.
It is intended to carry out similar exercises in other parts of Oxfordshire in the future.
