Volunteer for us
We need volunteers!
Healthwatch Oxfordshire is looking for volunteers to help us go out and listen to local people’s experiences of their health and social care services. These views will then be fed back to local services to shape and improve them.
By becoming a volunteer for Healthwatch Oxfordshire, you will make it possible for us to reach more people and help your community shape its health and social care services.
If you have passion and enthusiasm and you want to make a positive difference within your local community, then we can give you that opportunity. We are currently looking for volunteers to go out and about with our Community Involvement Officer, Jen, on her outreach activities. Jen often has stalls at events around Oxfordshire where she speaks to many people about their experiences of health and social care. However, if she had some volunteers to go out with her, it would be possible to speak to many more people.
Jen said: “If you care about health and social care, enjoy meeting people and like being out and about, then this is the role for you.”
We are also looking for volunteers who can help us with our Enter and View projects. Enter and View involves visiting health and social care services to find out the experiences of people who are using and working in them. Again, if you care about health and social care, enjoy talking and listening to people and want a say on what happens to services in your local community, then this is the role for you.
Training and support is available for each role and experience is not essential. The most important thing we look for, is a belief that the people of Oxfordshire should have the best health and social care services possible and a desire to be part of making that happen.
By volunteering with us, you will be using your skills, experience, talents, and passion to make a positive difference to your community.
