Surgery group hosts talk on end-of-life care


The Bell Surgery, Henley on Thames, is hosting a caring and informative free talk delivered by Sue Ryder.
The aim of the talk is to provide emotional and practical strategies to help support you and your family through ‘End of Life’ Planning.
The session will include an overview of services available through Sue Ryder and support available for caring for a loved one at home.

It will be held on Tuesday November 14 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in the Maurice Tate Room, Townlands Hospital, York Road, Henley on Thames RG9 2EC.

The talk will be delivered by David Williams, social worker, Sylvia Thomas, of the Sue Ryder Community Team.
Topics to be covered include:
Overview of Sue Ryder Services

  • Empowerment, Resilience and Immortality
  • End of Life Care at Home
  • Medication & Managing Symptoms
  • Caring for a family member at home

This will be followed by an opportunity for discussion over refreshments.
