Southern Health directors resign

The remaining four non-executive directors of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust have jointly offered their resignation from their posts to allow the governors to recruit to the Trust’s future needs.

Interim Chair Alan Yates issued a statement to the media today (March 16) which you can read at the link below.

The fifth non-executive director, Tracey Faraday-Darke stepped down earlier this month, meaning the trust must now recruit five new non-executive directors.

Southern Health, a provider of learning disabilities, has faced controversy in recent years, including the death of Oxford teenager Connor Sparrowhawk, who drowned in a bath at Slade House in Headington in July 2013.
