Public health director to speak at Board meeting

Oxfordshire’s Director of Public Health, Dr Jonathan McWilliam, will speak at Healthwatch Oxfordshire’s next Board meeting in public.

The independent health and social care watchdog will meet in public at Rose Hill Community Centre, Carole’s Way, Rose Hill, Oxford OX4 4HF, on Tuesday October 10, 7pm.

Dr McWilliam will outline the contents of his recently-published Annual Report, which sets out the predicted challenges facing the county’s health and care services in the decades to some.

Rosalind Pearce, Executive Director, Healthwatch Oxfordshire, said: “We are extremely fortunate to have Jonathan McWilliam at our meeting. The implications of his report are far reaching, and those planning the county’s health and care services over the coming decades will be paying close attention to it.”

As well as the presentation of the report, there will be a full programme of Board business, including reports from Board sub-groups.

Members of the public can submit questions to the Healthwatch Oxfordshire Board by email, post or telephone, up to five working days before the meeting. There will also be a period of 15 minutes at 7pm during which the public will have an opportunity to speak to the board members. The public will also be able to ask questions for clarification at the end of each agenda item.

The full agenda and papers will be published at http://www.healthwatchoxfordshire.co.uk/healthwatch-oxfordshire-board-meetings-and-minutes seven days before the meeting.
