Opportunities with NICE

05/12/2017

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is currently recruiting patients, as well as their unpaid carers and their advocates (usually referred to as ‘lay members’ at NICE) to join the committees outlined below.

Care before during and after an operation guideline committee

NICE is looking for people with an understanding of receiving care before, during and after an operation and the issues important to patients and unpaid carers.

See recruitment advert for details of what working with the committee involves, the kind of experience and knowledge we are looking for, and how to apply. Recruitment is open until 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2017.

NICE has also tweeted about this recruitment, in case you would like to share through your social media channels.

Venous thromboembolic diseases guideline committee

NICE is looking for people with an understanding of either deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism and the issues important to patients and their unpaid carers.

See recruitment advert for details of what working with the committee involves, the kind of experience and knowledge we are looking for, and how to apply. Recruitment is open until 5pm on Monday 18 December 2017.

NICE has also tweeted about this recruitment, in case you would like to share through your social media channels.

Who is NICE looking for to fill these roles?

NICE would welcome an application from those who have recent experience or knowledge of these topics and are able to reflect the views, experiences and needs of the public to ensure they are included in the development of these guidelines. They need to be able to contribute effectively in a formal committee setting. Lay members are paid a fee to attend meetings and NICE covers travel and other expenses.
