Making a difference

Healthwatch Oxfordshire took part in Making A Difference last week (July 10-14), an initiative with Bartholomew school, Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA) and Volunteer Link Up. Year 12 pupils were matched up with local charities and organisations where they could develop new skills and have new experiences which Make A Difference in your local community.

The projects which the pupils undertook were specifically designed with them in mind. They were able to make the most of their talents and areas of interest and to allow them to develop specific skills to help with future CV's jobs and UCAS applications.

The four pupils who joined Healthwatch Oxfordshire for the week attended meetings with the staff, helped out at a public event and designed a strategy for getting young people more involved with our work.
