Integrated Urgent Care Service - briefing

South Central Ambulance Service briefed Healthwatch Oxfordshire Board members at their meeting in Banbury on Tuesday January 9 on the new Thames Valley Integrated Urgent Care Service.

This service was launched in September 2017 with the following aims:

- to improve the patient journey by closing more calls within the IUC Clinical Hub
- or to directly book callers or refer into an appropriate local
service.
- and reduce whole system impact on A&E, 999 services through increased clinical review of ED/999 Green
dispositions.
- increased use of shared records and patient management plans.
